In Iran women struggled with applying the law with wearing the veil. Women thought that it was un-fair that they had to be treated differently then the men they thought the was treated un-eqaully because of the veil , but the law thought differently .The law thought it would have the women treated better towards the men but the women thought differently they thought that wasn't going to be able get a husband or even a boyfriend because the veil mad them look ugly and didn't show there real self. the veil was mostly black to not bring much attention to the girls. Most women don't wear the veil because they don't believe in wearing them. those who choose not to ear the veil would be raped or by a old man because they think that they a disgrace so why care if they suppose don't care about there self.

Also an example in the book "Persepolis" in the picture above is that when marjane the main character and the narrator of the story and the author choose not to wear her veil the right way and wearing a jacket with Micheal Jackson on it they YELL at her and call who ever is charge. Most women still to this day think that they are not treated equally to men but under the iranian law , woman is treated as half a man. In court , the testimony of two women equals that of one man; a man son inherits twice as much as his daughter ; compensation for the accidental death of man is that for the women. There for a women is treated eqaully better yet more better then men. the women was suppose to wear them like this:
